Help your puppy learn and play in a safe environment at one of our puppy parties
A new puppy is an exciting addition for the whole family, and it can sometimes be tempting to let them run wild and watch their playful antics. But it’s also important to ensure that your new friend starts to socialise with other dogs and people, and learn some basic commands at an early age while they are still receptive to new information.
At The Shrubbery, we hold weekly ‘puppy parties’ for any dog up to 6 months old. During these sessions you can enjoy some complimentary refreshments while your puppy plays with other dogs in a safe and secure environment. This is a great opportunity for them to start to learn essential social skills, and how to interact with other dogs and humans too. We will also help you teach your puppy initial basic commands like ‘sit’, ‘stay’ and ‘come’.
Courses are run by our veterinary nurse Kate Faiers, who will also be on hand to answer any questions you might have about flea and worming treatment, dental care, neutering, nutrition and even pet insurance. As part of the course you will also be able to take a tour of the practice and observe all our facilities and treatment areas first-hand.
Puppy parties are held at our Northfleet surgery, and run for two weeks on consecutive Wednesday evenings from 8pm-9.30pm. All puppies up to the age of 6 months old are welcome, as long as they have had at least their first vaccination.
Please note that you must pre-book to join the course; you can do so by calling 01474 534891 to speak to a member of our team.
